Fun FactWhen I was twenty, I spent a year backpacking around the world. That sparked my interest in the diplomatic profession: trying to see other countries and my own country through the eyes of others and explaining to others why we are the way we are.

Rüdiger von Fritsch is a german diplomat with a long history in government affairs. His CV is dominated by principal political roles, such as being the head of policy planning of the federal president or as vice president of the national intelligence service.

From 1984 until 2019 he was employed by the federal foreign Office in Germany.
Before he retired in 2019 he served as Germany’s ambassador to Russia for five years and to Poland for four years.
Additionally, he published a book in October 2020 “Russia’s path. As ambassador in Moscow“ where he reflects on his experience in Russia and the country itself.

Getting to know about his diverse and unique experiences will be no less than impressive.
