Karsten Benz has been in the aviation and aerospace industry for more than two decades. He has worked at C-Level in leading transformation and tapping new revenue streams. After finishing his studies he started working in the automotive industry. He was later hired by Lufthansa where he was responsible for Network Planning, negotiating and implementing multinational joint ventures. Based in London he was accountable for Sales Europe, managing the distribution of five airlines in 42 countries. As Chief Commercial Officer, he contributed significantly to the successful turnaround of Austrian Airlines, Vienna.
Currently Karsten serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board DRONIQ, a startup platform for unmanned air traffic management. For ROADFANS, a tourist platform in caravanning, he acts as Investor and Board Member. In his consulting role for AlixPartners, Karsten Benz works with clients in the aerospace industry, like airlines, airports, aircraft manufacturers and top tier suppliers. Karsten has a PhD in the field of Management Efficiency and teaches Logistics and Aviation Management at the Frankfurt University.
